| Automation can be modular in a number of ways. At Crux, we view modularity as primarily a design method. We have an enormous model library (+45GB) of component and sub-system modules that can be dropped into a system model to quickly create complete automation systems.
These modules include off-the-shelf components, like SCARA robots and ball-screw servo slides, and Crux-developed modules, like safety barriers, robot tables, and flexible conveyor systems . Many of these modules can be used as is, or quickly customized to the specific application at hand.
In designing with modules, we provide our customers with systems that leverage the benefits of pre-engineered components. Pre-engineered components generally provide greater reliability, and are easier to maintain. By using them, we believe that we are focusing on efforts on the best value for our customers.
