We utilize two primary forms of assembly transfer -- power-and-free systems, built around the Bosch Flexible Assembly conveyors, and rotary indexers built around NSK MegaTorque motors. Both technologies provide excellent reliability, fast cycle times, and high installed value.
|
|
Flexible Assembly Conveyors
- Maximum flexibility -- easily reconfigured to add or delete processes after installation;
- Multiple layouts available - rectangular, over/under, side-by-side...
- Reusable;
- Requires more floorspace than alternate styles;
- Asynchronous.
|
Rotary Indexers
- Small footprint;
- Excellent speed and accuracy;
- Limited task count on each indexer;
- Harder to reconfigure once installed;
- Synchronous;
- May be linked to form multi-indexer systems.
|
| In addition to these styles, Crux also uses alternate transfer systems, such as chain indexers, carousel indexers and walking beam systems.
