Description:

Design and development of a cell to measure and trim assemblies.
The cell uses an Epson EC-350 SCARA robot to off load the assemblies into a rotary indexer. In the rotary indexer, the assemblies are measured, trimmed and re-verified, and then replaced into the main line transfer system. The system uses a 750W Nd:YAG laser to power two cutting heads. Each cutting head is mounted onto 3-axis CNC devices. |
