Design and development of an automatic plunge router for an tenoning system.
Capable of speeds in excess of 50 inches per second, the plunge router creates a small slot in stringers as they pass through the cell. The router must be capable of both keeping up with the stringers as they pass through, and instantly indexing back to the start point to begin routing the next stringer. |
